Assess the route, not just the workshop
A reliable factory conversation should move through the real production path: technical brief, material decisions, pattern and fit, sample, approval, production and dispatch. A supplier who can explain this sequence clearly gives a buyer more visibility before volume production starts.
Bring evidence to the first conversation
A useful first brief contains category, size range, target customer, artwork or references, approximate quantity, required market and desired delivery window. If a tech pack is not ready, a structured development discussion can still begin—but the open decisions should be written down before sampling.
Treat Egypt as a production conversation, not a shortcut
For denim buyers, the useful question is whether the manufacturing relationship can support the collection's required quality, timing and export destination. Compare factories on their technical response, decision speed and sample discipline, rather than selecting solely from a broad positioning claim.
